Building skills and investing in people.
The development of Tanzanian business people and their employees through training is a crucial to sustainable growth. Acquiring new skills and improving existing skills will maximise the ability of local businesses to take advantage of new opportunities.
Training can also complement other TCBA services, by ensuring that the local business has the skills to win tenders and grants, effectively use capital and to successfully implement business plans. This is particularly important for the HIV/AIDS program where significant skill development is required.
To ensure that the skills continue to spread through the business community, TCBA runs ‘train the trainer’ programs. This develops local people with the skills to run courses, simultaneously increasing the skill base and providing additional employment.
Training courses include;
• Running a business.
• Bookkeeping and accounts.
• Sales and marketing.
TCBA are hoping to extend the range of courses available to match the needs of local businesses.
Other programs;
• General Micro-Finance – helping small businesses grow.
• HIV/AIDS – supporting families affected by HIV/AIDS.
• Disabled – supporting disabled businesses owners.
How you can help?
• Volunteering – by volunteering, you can provide training services to businesses who may not be able to afford the cost, develop new courses and train local trainers.
• Providing funding – by providing funding, TCBA are able to support more businesses through these services.
