Providing funding to directly help Tanzania businesses.

Currently, the capacity to provide finance through loans or grants and to provide services is limited by the existing funding. With additional finance, TCBA would be able to help more businesses and more families.
The financial operation of TCBA’s loan programs has been so successful that the initial funding has been repaid and loaned back out more than three times. This multiplier effect means that each dollar that is provided keeps supporting the local business community for many years.
Funding Options.
TCBA welcome organisations or people who are considering providing funding through grants and/or loans.
• Grants – these are provided without a requirement to repay. The grants can be applied to a program or service as directed by the provider to maximise the chance that the money will achieve the desired purpose. Because of the successful operation of the general-finance program, TCBA are able to cover all overheads. This enables 100% of grant money to go into the designated projects.
• Loans – funding can also be provided to extend the general-finance program with stipulated repayment terms. TCBA is able to do this because the program requires repayment by local businesses. The negotiated repayment terms need to consider that whilst the program recoups money loaned, repaid money is loaned back out to other businesses and the majority of profits go towards covering administration costs. It is important to remember that TCBA is a not-for-profit venture and grants are the preferred method of funding.
Where does the funding money go to?
Funding can go towards specific projects or aiming to achieve specific goals. TCBA will discuss the opportunities with any interested person or organisation and keep them informed about progress, results and changes. Follow the links below to read more about the programs and services.
