So there is this thing going around called tagging. Someone makes up a question or five then answers them, then asks 5 of their friends to answer them and those 5 have to pass them on, etc, etc. At the end Bill Gates sends us a free copy of Windows 3.11b.

So I'm starting my own.

When you get tagged via email or by seeing this post, you have to tell in complete detail what you're wearing at the time and why?

I'll start.

I'm wearing a pair of pyjama shorts (it's 9.22pm) that I've had four about six years. They are dark grey with light grey trim. If I can quote Notting Hill, "Chicks love grey!". They are a bit heavier then my normal summer PJ shorts but it's a bit cool tonight, been raining in Sydney for days...  They have a two button fly. Buttons are grey also. They have an elasasized waist, but not too tight to cause elastic marks. It is size large.

I'm also wearing a poo brown shirt from GAP that my mate Danny who's wife sits next to KC at work brought back from California. It says "No Vacancy", Air Conditioned, Free TV, Lowest Rates on the Strip - it's a hotel sign theme. It's very comfy. It is sized Large, Althetic Fit. :-)

I'm wearing these items because I'm ready for bed. I'm still tired from weekend (see below). Plus KC and I did a run in the rain and after a hot shower it was PJ time.

My Media Diet: Tagged

Marty has tagged me about my media consumption habits. So here you go.

Web: I'm on constantly, although I'm turning it on for focus. FF2.0 on Mac and I really need my link bar. It is my everything - first 10 - gmail, blog, old protopage, google blog search, technorati, flickr, Tangler, Alexa, Magnola, Buzzshout, Newsgator subscribe.

I use Flickr to blog on this blog and Tangler (I'm using it right now - so easy!). My search folder is key, but I mainly use my inbuilt google search. Common key strokes are Apple+T, TAB, Type, return. I have about 4-5 tabs open. I find it grinds to a halt passed (past?) about 8. I don't have many other tabs open.

Tangler is half a responsibility and half easy enjoyment or interest. It's addictive which is great! ;-)

Radio: In the car with KC we listen to 106.5 but when I'm by myself I listen to 702 or 630 news radio on weekdays and triple J, FBI on weekend. I try to listen to TWIT every week plus some IT conversations shows.

TV: West Wing recorded would like to get into Battlestar Galactica, but struggling for time.

Movies: Love to, sometimes one on DVD, not enough at movies. Would like to just waltz up to Paddo and watch something art house. Will always invites me to foreign film festivals but I rarely get there.

Communications: Private email on gmail, work email all day. I get less work email these days with the guys all in one room. "Hey Minh!!!" And I get less mobile calls too, which I like. I know if it rings it's normally worth it. Tangler again is being used more and more for communications. KC and I use it for planning stuff. It's like a rolling wiki, or a wiki that's a blog. You type stuff in, drag in a pic, embed a map, add some links and slowly build a page.

Magazines: As many wedding mags as I can get. :-) Otherwise, I'm pretty random. New Scientist is good, The Monthly is good, sometimes Wired or Fast Company if I'm peckish. Or a sufing mag for a boys weekend - which we forgot recently....

Music: Depends on my mood (see big post on Tangler). But lots of it. Triple J or FBI on the radio, Ludivico Enaudi or other classical music, alternative rock, chill out. Love buy CDs!!!

KC has asked me numerous times regarding the antics of my recent Fabo Fabo bucks weekend, "Why do you do these things?"

Why?

Why?

Well, to quote Edmund Hillary in a confusing and vaguely relevant way "Because it was there!"

Or, because he's getting married. It's the way it was, it is the way it shall always be.

And anyway, I'm not sure what is strange about freezing someone's underwear, making him drink Guinness and a family apple pie, pretending to shave his eye brows, wearing aprons, having bubble baths and making him drink too much at local pubs in the rain.

I think I've made my point.

I saw lots of ads about Asthma, so as an asthmatic I finally gave it a go.

I thought it was lame.

I got 22 which says it's controlled. Funnily the last question was 'Do you have you asthma under control. I said 'yes, I have it controlled. Umm, ok.

OK, I think I did it once, and probably stole off a friend, but I was thinking about it today when I told this teen ager to pick up a piece of paper he dropped. I was like "This is my community, and my for that matter, my planet."

Then I thought back to the address thing and thought, we don't really think about this street, this city, this country, this planet being ours - individually and collectively. If we think about it as ours, then maybe we'd have a bit more pride in it and look after it a bit more.

So I'm going to start writing Planet Earth on addresses again.

How many cousins do you have?

I've got 2 on mums side and four on dads side. 6 all up. I've heard people with 20. Nuts. Sure, I've got second cousins (Hey Grant and Leanne) and third cousins/aunts/uncles (hey Vyde and Jonas!).

Cousins are great growing up. I want to have kids quick enough so they can play with Jaz, Jaimee and Harry.........

Dick Cheney is in Sydney, and all night there have been helicopters flying over our place. Or maybe it's the Paul Kelly CD I've been playing?

This arvo we saw them. Nice chunky army choppers. Very impressive.

Helicopters always make me think of that song "Cow's with Guns" with that line:

The order was given to turn cows to whoppers
Enforced by the might of ten thousand coppers
But on the horizon surrounding the shoppers

Came the deafening roar of chickens in choppers

I invested some money in Kiva after a recommendation from MCB

You invest money in very very small business generally in developing countries. Now I love tech, and I love helping people, and Kiva is a great combo of the two.

So a busy day was interruppted today by a big smile when I got an email telling me that one of the businesses I have invested in have paid some money back. How cool is that;

"The business you have loaned to, Food Production and Sales , has made a repayment of $95.00.  The total amount repaid up to now is $95.00.  The payment was collected and deposited by Alejandro Martinez.   This repayment will be divided amongst all the lenders who helped to fund this business, depending upon the percentage each lender contributed.  Note that you cannot actually withdraw or reloan these funds until after the loan term is complete."
