I just had this thought about in school when we sang songs in weekly music classes and that one of the songs was about Videos and watching them.
"We're gonna sit and watch all the movies,
Video, video, video, video."
We were singing it out loud as a group like Hitler Youth.
I wonder if the goons from Sony actually paid the music publishers to put it in there.
Does anyone else remember that?
Other songs:
Riding along on my push bike honey.
Peanut Butter, yes maam (more propanda, and this one even said 'not honey')

I think your going overboard there Mick. Although I wouldn't put it past the marketing execs at Sony to do something like that, I don't think it would be that obvious. More subliminal messaging like McDonalds uses.
Where did you get those songs taught to you? Wasn't Valley View cause I didn't have them. We sung songs like Kylie Minogue "Loco-Motion".
Actually, I do remember dentist type songs "This is the way we brush our teeth, brush our teeth, brush our teeth. This is the way we brush our teeth early in the morning" haha

That song could quite easily been "we're going to sit and watch all those movies - beta, beta, beta, beta" - i remember singing a plethora of Beatles hits like "when i'm sixty four" and Rocky Horror Picture show songs. Knowing the hippy tendancies of male teachers especially coming out of the seventies into the money hungry soon to be disillusioned eighties, it makes a kind of sense that you'd be singing songs popular for those people.
Ryan - i sympathise. May i suggest a lawsuit for ongiong psychological damage?
Mick, i don't know what classes you were going to but i enjoyed the goosestepping and all those Hail Hitlers.

Well Simon, since you were in every class I was in from Pre-School to High School I'm pretty sure you were in the room.
Hippy teachers - Mr Hannon (how the girls loved him).
Ry, yeah, Brush your teeth was in kindy, but I remember (and the whole family can sing it) the Sooty song on the video you watched a couple a times per day;
"Save the goal, save the goal, save the goal woops."
Reminds me of a rumination I saw recently.
"We wish you a merry Christmas,
We Wish You A Merry Christmas,
WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS,
NANNA, PUT YOUR HEARING AID IN, WE ARE TRYING TO WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS"
