China is number 1 at 1.3 billion, then India at number 2 at 1.1 billion, but whose next.
USA?
Europe?
Africa?
A. Internet Users.
There are more than 900 million Internet users. Maybe they don't all live online, but they are there.
Is the internet bringing people together or tearing them apart? Maybe allowing them to connect globally, but I guess it is distracting us from existing locally. I get online to play chess with Gary from Uzbekistan but I can't remember the names of my neighbours.
Internet users will overtake China in 2006, but of these, more than 200 million will be Chinese.
Interesting.

This is really scary. I get shivers down my spine thinking about competing with these numbers of smart people. What was the figure you stated once Mick, 100,000 people graduate from China every year... I think I'm going to choose another career which they won't be good at... many porn stars in China??

800,000 engineering graduates. There would be more than 5 million programmers and graphic designers by my guess.
And even more porn stars.

A bright fellow over here made a point about China's economy. It's not that China's economy is exploding on the world, it's the world's economy is exploding in China. It's the same old Western multi-nationals that are growing their China operations fast, which is causing China's economy to grow along with it.

Hmmm, I don't think it is just that. And also, for every multi national, China has an equal or bigger (or at least controlled) government owned company. I think they might be givin them a bit, learning a lot and looking after China.
Twill be interesting.
