So whenever I see them I'm going to take a pic of bad ads and post them on the blog.
I said to a girl at a conference the other day that some people put ads on buses and must never see them from a distance. She said "Well, you know, it's hard." If you're going to pay $20,000 to put your ad on a bus and can't be bothered to mock one up and see how it looks from 50 metres, then you deserve to have SHITADS.
Ad number 1 --> I mentioned it to Phil and he said, "yeah, that Dell ad is dumb". It's actually a Sun ad which makes it even worse.
Things wrong;
1. Poor logo placement and contrast.
2. Big picture of a person - could be anything.
3. "Shareholder value" who cares about this other than shareholders and CEO's? Certainly not people at bus stops.
Hmmmm.......

Plus it's not a very attractive shot but I guess that's the demographic. Mind you, I know a lot of attractive 50-somethings who they could have used.

Yeah, I was just talking about this to Ravi the other day - but it was the Sun ad with the black dude & big grin. As we drove past it, I thought it was a health ad about how smokers get lines around their mouths.
