When your friend says go, concentrate on the top left yellow dot. As you stare at this dot, the other dots will begin to disappear. Each time all three dots re-appear, tick the paper.

If you scored between 4 and 6, your brain switch rate is average.

If you scored more than 6, your brains switch rate is fast, like a dancer.

I just found out that there are people in this world who spell my surname not LIUB but LUB - crazy. All these years I have had my name miss spelled, and now I find out that some people actually spell it that way.

Ryan and My Grandmother

My little big brother Ryan came to visit us on the weekend for my Grandmothers 80th birthday. It was quite good fun with people of all ages (Jaimee 1.9 and Nanna 80) laughing and chatting.

I had prepared a speech in Lithuanian for my grandmother and nearly missed my chance to show off. I got a couple of cheers, and a few "that was nice"'s but given that only a handful of my relatives still spoke Lithuanian (not including my dad, who still knows a bit) I had to translate. Anyway, I thought it was nice. I shall keep learning for some fun.

It was good to see Ryan who is working/living in a hippie farm/backpackers (soon to be) near Byron Bay. He is a good kid and I'm sure he'll get up to some adwentures.

Another highlight of the weekend was playing with my nieces Jazmine and Jaimee. They are 3.8 and 1.9 respectively, just the right age for fun.

Excellent.

Camping in FOT

On the weekend, I lent out my FOT (F*&K Off Tent - so named because it is quite large, not relative to a circus tent, but relative to the little tents that my other camping friends have) to Rani and Jen.

I'm not sure where they went, but FOT has been around. He's been to Mimosa Rocks down south near Bega, and up to Noosa. He also spent two nights at South West Rocks just south of Coffs Harbour.

And I don't like to brag (actually, I really do) but I've shared FOT with Rani, Emilee, Georgina, and Mei Lin (and Will, but he makes the story less fun).

He is a good tent.

Another addictive game

This game is fun. I love the music. I'm not sure what it reminds me of. Sort of a cross between George and Mildred theme song, elevator music and the music in David Jones perfume department.

Gutenberg Project

This is pretty interesting stuff. From what I understand, the Gutenberg project aims to promote the spread of all the material that is no longer under copyright. You can go to the site and download all this interesting reading. Everything from historical reports, Shakespeare, poetry, old surveys, and more. You can also get mp3's of books that are read to you. Some of them are read by people and others are read by computers, which doesn't always work out too well.

Anyway, have a poke around.

Also, a cool new thing (especially for Bloggers) is the p2p link thing. When you find something you want to download, click the P2P Network option and the file will be downloaded by your Peer-to-Peer application of choice (like Grokster, eDonkey or Kazaa). This saves the Gutenberg Project, a not-for profit organisation, money on the downloading. It doesn't really cost you either, just some bandwidth which you'd have to pay for anyway. A good cause :)

If you are looking through it, tell me what you find. I found some poems by Henry Kendall, who lived (I was about to say operated) near where I grew up on the Central Coast.

I would expect that Rani, Nathan, Jen and Michelle would enjoy something like this - sort of a big library.
