Some people are talking about how Social Networks suck for advertising and that they don't work.
It makes me smile, because the fundamental of it all is that people (customers, users, dollar spending entities) are running to social networks where they just have their friends (who they trust and won't push crap on them) because the companies have been yelling louder and louder and through more and more mediums (shop floors, dockets, spam, junk mail, tv, radio, magazines, bill boards....).
And of course, where the people go, the eyeballs go too, so the money is soon to follow. It's kind of like people staying away from me because I smell, but I just keep running after them faster and faster causing me to sweat more, instead of slowing down and buying deoderant.
