A guy I vaguely know, but enjoyed meeting, Charlie O'Donnel has started Path 101 to help people think about what they want to do next.
I think it has some positive social interactions, but also some serious challenges. It's an area where shared experiences are valuable, but I'm not sure how they are incentivised to be captured. I'll tell you about my work and life on my blog, but how are you getting that. Maybe it's just a really funky forum?
Another challenge is privacy, i.e. not telling your current company that you are looking for something new. OK, it's fine if you just got bought by Google, but if you are just ready for a jump, then it's harder.
So I'm interested to see where it goes.
I did like their openness by putting so much out on their blog. How many boxes, new credit cards (charge em up boys!) and more.
I wonder if they were sitting around wondering what to do next when the idea (or problem) came to them....
