Hi,
I just wanted to say I hope Chris & Kate make it to you in Australia one day, everyone deserves a chance to see them for they are brilliant.
I just finished the most wonderful Chris & Kate weekend ever.
I got to see them Thursday in Toronto, and the magnificent Tony Scherr opened for them. What can I say 4 hours of musical brilliance between those two acts.
For those of you that are not familiar with the name Tony Scherr you all should be. He has played with Chris & Kate for years, he is a member of Chris' Citizens' Band, and he produced Kate's first solo album Horses and Burning Cars. Tony has two solo records of his own out, the newest one just recently released, which has a cover of Kate's Shop Girl to open it off. (The song is about Tony btw.)
Then to top off the weekend, on Saturday night I got to see The Bourbon Tabernacle Choir who reunited for one night to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Hillside Festival in Guelph. All I can say is after 13 years apart they sounded like it was the next day, just fantastic! I would not have had the opportunity to even see this show if not for Chris, he is one of the most genuinely decent people I have met.
Cheers!

One other thing I forgot to add, Chris sells his own CD's directly from his website and he just may ship to you in Australia.

I just saw Chris and Kate tonight at the Living Room in the East Village . They were warming us up for Life in a Blender and Jesus H Christ and the Four Hornsmen of the Apocalypse - an odd juxtaposition that, surprisingly enough, worked well.
Chris and Kate's musicianship is absolutely first rate, and their many years of playing together really shows in how well they groove together. But there is also a natural charm about their stage presence - no wankery, not taking themselves too seriously, utterly professional but dedicated above all to having fun together with their rapt audience.
And they did have us in the palms of their hands: when they had to finish up to make way for the acts to follow (time cut short due to the excesses of the prior, so-soish acts - grrr) we were left begging for more. Soooo.... bring Chris and Kate down under and we'll all tell all our friends in every city to tell all their friends, and we'll get the Audreys to tour with them and everybody'll have a blast!
Cheers, John B

It's true, I've seen Chris and Kate in my underwear, but it was very respectable underwear, I'll have you know, and clean too. I don't get around in dirty garments, no siree.
I have just had the good fortune of receiving the new Kate Fenner solo album from a very gorgeous friend, and as always, her voice is ethereal - it transports you to wonderful places. Yay!

I know people who have seen Chris and Kate in their underwear (my friend that is, not the musicians) in New York. Now that's dedication.
Fire up!

Thanks for your comments. We will check out those other bands.
And Maple Music do ship to Australia, some friends and I have already had successful shipments of Chris and Kate magic.
CD Baby looks like a good alternative as well. Thanks.

I just wanted to say, that as a Canadian proud of CB and KF's music, I think it's really awesome that there are people in Australia who listen to it too.
Listen to the Rheostatics and Martin Tielli's solo stuff for more lesser known Canuck musical brilliance.
I won't ever forget Chris and Kate in Toronto's Bourbon Tabernacle Choir, before they went off to do their own thing. Check it out, it's gold.
Cheers,
Josh
A Canadian who loves Chris and Kate's music
