SMS on your Surfboard!!!

The only problem with SMS on a house phone is by the time you say your home in 5 min - and the person at home stops doing what they are doing and reads the message, your walking in the door.

I think home text would be good with automatic voice over. "Ding Dong Ding... Message from Michael - Home in 5 Minutes, Baby - Ding Dong Ding..."

OR How about sending short 10 second Voice recordings via the message system?

Hey strangers, I'm back from being very busy! This one caught my eye, as we have SMS on our home phone, we can text to it via mobile and vice-versa. Not that we ever did, after we tried it the first time.

We've just bought a car and are looking into iPod enabling it. It would be even better to be able to SMS to it. I could write, "don't forget the crackers" as Christina drives in her usual wild fashion to the shop.

(twiddling fingers in excitement) oooohhhhhhh Wensleydale!

Christina pointed out a stain on my pants (food) the other day. I said "look, it's the wrong trousers and they've gone wrong!". Not even a peep back.

BTW, thanks for the last pics of Alyah, I hadn't replied due to manic busy-ness. Keep 'em coming!

JMab, your in the UK right? My friend just returned from England and said that the SMS is read out by a computer voice when sent to the landline. Is this true?
